Leaps and Bounds!

We started attending Gymboree Play & Music  in April... my daughter was barely 4 months old. She isn't around babies daily, so this was her first time being around others her age. She loved it from the start. The teachers are amazing. The place is friendly! We are now at 6 months old and my daughter has moved up from Level One to Level Two super quick. She's crawling circles around the place and having a blast! Thanks Gymboree for all the fun we have!

So Grateful For Gymboree

Gymboree Play & Music has been such a great experience for me and my daughter for over five months now. The environment is clean and bright. There are so many different activities and the equiptment is so cool. I'm always wanting to recreate the play room at home. My baby claps when we pull up cause she knows she's going to have fun learning. I was so impressed with how quickly she picked up all the songs. She is always "popping bubbles" at home and singing about cleaning up while putting her own toys away. I look forward to the interaction with our teachers and other parents. Ms. G is especially kind and makes us feel happy to be there. I am super grateful for all the open gym and bonus classes too. Never running out of ideas to keep our little ones learning cause we can always go to our Gymboree!! I definitely plan on staying a member.

Teachers here are awesome! We are enrolled with Ms. Melanie in her music class and she conducts her class with so much enthusiasm that my 9 month old baby is so attentive to her. Even my husband and I who are not so much on dancing find ourselves movin' and groovin'. It's a fun class. We also experience a make-up class with Ms. Tara at Play and Learn and She's very good with kids too. She played peek-a-boo with my baby and she loves it!

Called to Rise

“We never know how high we are till we are called to rise.”
~ Emily Dickinson ~

Our twins Nicholas and Christopher graced our loving home two Christmases ago and have been a blessed handful ever since. Born early the boys were accomplishing the most amazing milestones of development Alyssa and my hopeful eyes could have ever imagined, each milestone giving them a new strength in life and giving our joyous hearts new strength as parents. As a parent you think once your babies are out of the Neonatal intensive care unit and your babies are sleeping through the night safe and sound nothing could calm and warm your heart so very much. But being a parent becomes a means of endearment for every little thing your child has to overcome probably for the rest of their lives.

Little Nicholas had recently ran into one of those developmental walls that looked as if it might be one that would hold him back, which makes any parent’s heart fall a bit. Alyssa and I had noticed that our little Nicholas was having some trouble walking at the same pace as his brother Christopher. We were encouraged to have a physical therapist take a look at him with a follow up by the doctor. As a parent you never want to see your child set back at any rate when working towards any of their developmental milestones. We were waiting frantically to see the physical therapist and the doctor again to make sure things were not going to be of a major concern. The appointment with the physical therapist was the Monday following our Sunday Gymboree class.

That Sunday Daddy was lucky enough to spend time with Nicholas. I remember Nicholas struggling through the play goals set up and me just worrying about that Monday coming up the next day with the physical therapist. Suddenly we heard the bells ringing for parachute time, Nicholas’s favorite experience of every class. Instead of hurrying excited for bubble time and all the parachute fun, Nicholas was focused on going back to one of the difficult bridge activities he was struggling with most during the class free period.

At that moment I saw this fierce determination in his eyes as he was attempting to conquer walking up the steps and running across the bridge and descending the ramp. The first two times he struggled a bit with the stairs and ramp and then something clicked. Suddenly he stomped up those stairs, ran across the bridge with intensity and did not even stop as he ran down the ramp. He continued to stomp up the stairs, run across the bridge and speed down the ramp for the rest of the class. Nicholas was so proud of his accomplishments I literally had to drag him away from the activity after class.

That was definitely one of the most precious moments with Nicholas I have experienced since our NICU days. At that moment I knew that the physical therapist was going to find nothing wrong with Nicholas and his development. I was also sure that the doctor was going to support the findings of the physical therapist. That following week both those predictions came true and I knew that what I had witnessed with Nicholas that day was one of the most important accomplishments in his early lifetime. A moment I think Nicholas might have been just a bit more proud of than; even I was, if that is possible. Moments like this is truly what Gymboree Play & Music is all about!

Awesome Place for my Baby!

This is our third class at Gymboree Play and Music. My 5 month old baby boy has enjoyed his classes since the beginning, smiling all the time. It is great seeing him having a good time. He is my first baby and I was looking for a place with a good background for Infant early stimulation. I found good references about Gymboree by internet which is the reason I chose it.
Miss Lindsie Comerford is great, fun and adorable, every class is different with her that is good for the babies, can't wait to take my little one for his next classes and see how much he will improve.

A True Win-Win

From the moment we walked in we felt welcome. We loved our free preview class and loved how they memorized our names so quickly. I loved watching my little girls face light up with excitement and wonder. We decided to join and it has been such a blessing in our lives. We get a reason to get out the door, my little girl gets to have fun and learn and I get to chat with other moms. A true win-win. Leslie truly loves her job, is sincerely kind, and great with the kids. My baby crawled right to her. I love the variety of singing, playing and the free time they get to explore. Who knew my baby could climb the soft padded stairs? She gets to develop her motor skills and overall muscle development in this wonderful place. Not to mention she sleeps excellent after classes! Thank you for keeping this place going and with such enthusiasm!

Infant Friendly Fun & Educational

I really want to show appreciation to the Sunnyvale Gymboree Play & Music. My daughter has been going there since she was 5 months. She loves it very much. The staff are super friendly and extremely knowledgable about babies and their development. I was very impressed on how clean and immaculate the studio always is. I recently went to a party at a a private competitor gym in Palo Alto and that baby gym was very dirty and disheveled. Sunnyvale Gymboree Play & Music is the best gym and the cleanest!
