Gymbo's Broken Arm

My son, Andrew, loved all his time at Gymboree PlaGymbo, Best Friends, Gymboree Adventures, Baby Classes, Kids Activities, Toddler Class, Toddler Activities, Childhood Developmenty and Music, and we have many fond memories there. He has adored his "Gymbo" doll since the age of 6 months old. However, the best moment with Gymbo came on the heels of an accident, which resulted in a broken arm for Andrew. At just 3 and a half years old, our poor little guy needed to have surgery to repair the break. Of course, Gymbo was with Andrew through the E.R. visit, hospital admittance, and getting IVs, etc. On the morning of his surgery, we were comforted to know that Gymbo would not have to leave Andrew, and they'd be together during the operation. When our son was wheeled back to his room after surgery, imagine our surprise to see that Gymbo had received an identical cast to Andrew's! Yes, they had actually made a cast for this beloved friend, so that they could recuperate together. It was a wonderful gesture. When Andrew finally decided that Gymbo was well enough for the cast to come off, I promptly placed it in my keepsake box, so we could always remember that special time...and I know that one day, when Andrew is much older, Gymbo will be placed in that box, as well. Thank you, Gymboree, for playing such an important part in our lives.
