My son, Joshua, was born 10 weeks early. He spent over 6 weeks in the NICU because he was so tiny and so sick. A month shy of his due date, he joined us at home, just at 5 pounds. While socially and verbally he met his milestones, the physical ones were a bit delayed. We had him evaluated and found he had a weak trunk. He enrolled him in PT and encouraged various types of physical activity. He finally walked at 23 months and we breathed a sigh of relief. However, he remained very timid and hesitant, physically. We decided to enroll him at Gymboree Play & Music when he was two in the hopes that this would give him the boost of confidence he needed. And we were right!! After a slow start, he was running and jumping, climbing and exploring by the end of the summer. His strength and his confidence both benefited from the wonderful class -- and we were all thrilled!! We even had his 3rd birthday party at Gymboree and he and his friends loved it. Now, my little miracle is 6 and his 2-year-old brother is taking his first Gymboree class at the same location. It's wonderful to be back. Thank you!!!
