No two are alike

People had told me when I was pregnant with my second son to prepare for an entirely different individual person unlike our first son. We had spent the first 13 months of his life getting to know him and recognize those differences. He is louder, more willful and generally more quick to more from one interest to the next. But it was Gymboree Play & Learn classes that really clarified things for me. Whereas my first son spent nearly two years of classes beaming smiles as he loved the lap time, songs and parachute play, in his first month, my second son has yet to be coerced off the play equipment to partake in the rest of the class. He looks over with only slight amusement as the other children laugh and ride in the parachute circle. He escapes me every time I sit down with him to sing and crawls off with lightening speed back to the ramps and mats. But he always shoots me a confident smile upon arriving at his goal which reads the same as my first son's face when he participated. A look that says thanks for binging me on this adventure mom, I love you too!
