I've always wanted to enroll my child in Gymboree Play& Music class even while she was not born! But because she was born 2 months ahead (she was exactly 8 months gestational age), my heart and energy went towards taking care of her day-by-day, month-by-month. Because of so, the thought of taking her to Gymboree class was buried deep down in my heart with all the busyness of having a new born (a preemie to be exact). She stayed at NICU for 1 month and the doctors told us that preemies tend to grow slower in many aspects. They even said her milestones could even be later than other kids of her age. At that time we did not care what they said, we just want her to be happy and healthy as she grows up.
When we finally remembered about Gymboree, my baby girl was already 16 months. She has never been late in achieving any milestones, but she hasn't walked yet. We took her to Gymboree Level 3 class and little did we know she started taking her little steps on the 1st day of doing "push and walk" the air log! We were so shocked at her achievement that we signed up right away! She enjoyed playing and learning every time we go to Gymboree. She loved her teachers and memorized the routine so that we can do the same song/dance at home!
We did not know how much influence Gymboree had for her until we realized that many of our friends' babies of about the same age achieve the milestones even later than her. We are really impressed!
No, no one would be able to tell that my baby was a preemie who stayed in the NICU for 1 month. She achieved many of the milestones through learning and playing at Gymboree. She really loves it!Class Type:
