At four months old, my son Rahzy was having difficulty with tummy time. He would hang his head to the left and he did not have much control of his neck. A lot of the tummy times ended with him crying and fussing. We spoke to his Pediatrician about this issue and she wanted to refer him to an Orthopaedic Specialist and Physical Therapist. I knew that we could work with Rahzy in the meantime before we went to either of the specialists. That's when we started to bring him to Gymboree. He had a hard time on his tummy at first, but as we kept coming to classes, he started to improve. He seemed to do okay using a towel roll and as he did this, he would look around at the other babies while they were doing tummy time too. Talk about some positive peer pressure! As the weeks went by, I saw a dramatic improvement! He loves being on his tummy now and he no longer needs the towel roll. Rahzy has even started to roll over from his tummy to his back! I am so proud of my little guy! I don't think we'll need to take him to the Orthopaedic or Physical therapist anytime soon! All I can say is Thank you Gymboree! You helped Rahzy make some major milestones!
