The Gymboree Village

My active and playful 2.6 year old daughter, A.H., has continued to thrive in her Gymboree Play & Learn classes, although she definitely (and literally) keeps me on my toes as she progresses in her development! Currently, every time I inform her that we are going to Gymboree Play and Music, she tells me that she does not want to play with the other kids and that she will be "angry with them," because she knows that she can "push my buttons" this way. Despite this anti-social mood, she happily gets in the car and by the time we arrive, she tells me that she will say, "Excuse me" and that she will ask, "What is your name?" when she sees the other kids. This is just one reason I am so proud of the remarkable growth in language and cognition that she has demonstrated in a relatively short time with the help of the class structure and the emphasis on "pro-social" behavior that she receives in her Gymboree class. While I am her mother and her first teacher, it really does take a village to raise a child, and the help that she receives from the staff, other parents, caregivers, and children in class is a testament to that sentiment! So, thank you to everyone who has helped my "mischievous monkey" to make many exciting new gains in her growth!

Class Type: Play & Learn 5 (22-28 months)
City: Lexington
State: Massachusetts
