We love Gymboree Play & Music of Redmond, Washington. They have amazing Play & Learn classes and unique baby activities as well as toddler activities. Teacher Kathleen is AWESOME! She is the perfect Gymboree teacher! She has a beautiful voice, always happy and has fun with the kids. We wish you could clone her for all of your play classes! Class Type: Play & Learn
Music classes such as Gymboree Music, provide the added benefit of a peer group for learning social skills in a musical environment. Musical games like “Ring Around the Rosey”, “Row Your Boat” and “Farmer in the Dell” connect children to each other. These singing games impose simple and playful “rules” such as working in a group, taking turns, and following or acting as the leader and naturally challenge a young child’s emerging social skills. Playing rhythm sticks, bells or maracas in a group setting gives children a sense of themselves as individuals and a sense of belonging to a group, which in turn builds confidence and self-esteem. Music itself has the power to convey emotional meaning and connect people to one another. Children who participate in early childhood music classes have a unique opportunity to grow socially and emotionally through the intimate connections they make as part of shared music experiences with parents, caregivers and peers.
