Wonderful Teachers & Classes at the Source Mall in Westbury

Friday, June 10, 2016 by Gymboree Play & Music Family and Friends

We have been taking classes at the Source Mall for several months now. All of the teachers are wonderful. We primarily have class with Miss Erika, who is amazing. She is young, energetic, happy and super sweet.

My 18 month old son loves her. She has the voice of a Disney princess and my extremely active and busy son will drop everything and run when she sings come on over! The whole center is amazing. We always get a warm greeting when entering from Nancy the manager and other teachers. Ms Nancy will always go out of her way to help us with scheduling or suggest new class options. Even though we have never taken a class with Mr Brendan he always makes my son feel special. We will be coming to Gymboree Play & Music for a very long time!!

The program is excellent. I have watched my daughter grow and change just from Gymboree Play & Music classes. Her confidence level has increased along with her love to play and explore......did I mention the Music class too.

My daughter is more in tune to all the music she hears.....dances, acts with music, recognizes melodies and is excited when I say we are going to Gymboree.....even if it is open gym too. That is an added plus for kids to work off steam.....great place for little ones! Staff is excellent....friendly, kind and knowledgeable.

My daughter loves the Gymbo the clown too!

We Heart You

Here is our story about how my son and I came to know about Gymboree Play & Music.

Believe it or not way before my son Aneesh was born, I used to help babysit for a family down in Greenwood, IN and I used to help take her twin son and daughter to their Gymboree Classes once or twice a week. I absolutely loved the way the kids enjoyed their time there and I could see how beneficial the classes were to them both during and outside of their Gymboree Class. They were able to apply the skills and techniques they learned in class at home or at other public places.

After I had my son almost 2 years ago, I knew I wanted to sign him up for some classes so he could learn to interact with other children his age. He loves going to his class every week and he really enjoys the Open Play Gyms. I love how he is able to see the same children every week during his Level 4 Play and Learn class. I have also been able to form some close relationships with other parents and nannies. It amazes me how much my son has retained from his Level 4 class, his vocabulary has expanded tremendously, and he seems to remember all the fun songs and the Gymboree signature activities they do every week. I feel I have also formed a close bond with several of the teachers at Gymboree.

Thank you very much for the opportunity for allowing us to share our incredible Gymboree story with all of you.

Dear Gymboree Play & Music

Friday, June 3, 2016 by Guest Stories

My husband and I enrolled our daughter, Genevieve, in Gymboree Play & Music when she was 13 months. She was an early walker at 10 months so we were desperate to find a safe outlet for her curious ways. Gymboree was PERFECT! She could learn to climb (and fall), run (and fall) and bounce (and fall) all in the safest and softest environment.

The Play & Learn classes have been a hit from day one! Parachute time and bubbles are Genevieve's favorite! As she became older, she also became attached to her teacher Ms Jessica. She now mimics the "pretend play" that Ms Jessica has taught her and she looks forward to seeing "Ms Jessica!" as we drive to Gymboree. Genevieve also warmed up to Ms Julie (a returning employee) very quickly and gets very excited to see her as well!

Genevieve has seen Ms Denise from the beginning but only in the capacity as the desk lady . . . but all of a sudden she became quite interested in what Ms Denise was doing behind that counter. She would ask me if she could say hello (Daddy works behind a desk at home and sometimes cannot be interrupted so that is why Genevieve wanted to be sure it was ok to talk to Ms Denise). Genevieve quickly became attached to Ms Denise as well which was perfect timing . . . we recently began the Preschool Steps class (the one hour drop off class) led by Ms Denise and Ms Julie. While the "drop off" time may involve a tear or two, Genevieve is SO EXCITED when I pick her up! She tells me what they did and PROUDLY shows me her paintings, letters, etc.

My only regret . . . I wish I would have started this class earlier!!

So that leads me to a suggestion . . . when a child turns 2, they should receive a certificate for a free trial class of the Preschool Steps.

Thanks Gymboree, Ms Jessica, Ms Julie, Ms Denise and all the other workers who have made Gymboree such a wonderful place!!

Look Mommy and Daddy, Gymboree Play & Music helped me learn to walk!

Tuesday, May 31, 2016 by Gymboree Play & Music Family and Friends

Before I begin one of my (many) favorite Gymboree Play & Music stories, I must make the comment that Gymboree Play & Music has been and is WONDERFUL for my son, Asher! His teacher, Ms. Emily has a true talent in teaching her classes and the rest of the Pearland staff is awesome as well!;) We have made new friends and that's always great!

Asher, had been "cruising" and taking a few steps here and there for quite some time! It's been an amazing time and opportunity to have Asher at home and not in school or daycare, and as the super overprotective, no germs on Asher parents that my husband and I have been and are lol, We never really had Asher around a lot of other Little Ones! His relatives are all older than he is! He never saw other Little Ones his age walking and just preferred to be picked up and carried everywhere, as we enjoyed this too!!! This "I'm not going to walk until I'm ready" was until of course, we started to attend Gymboree Play & Music!!!

We came in on a Friday, spoke with the staff, and decided to do a trial class the next day, Saturday, and Asher cried literally the entire class! After his class, the staff assured us that Asher just needed time to get used to  Gymboree Play & Music and we should come to open classes, so we enrolled him! Best thing ever!!! We were confident that Asher would familiarize himself with  Gymboree Play & Music and like it! What we did not know was that he was truly taking everything in and observing his now friends!

Later that evening, we were playing with Asher and blowing bubbles with him as he did earlier with Ms. Emily! We were trying to repeat some of the things Asher did earlier in his class and voilà!!!!! Asher began to walk!!! After being completely astonished and grabbing the camera for pics, we concluded that this newly found walking was due to Gymboree Play & Music and Asher noticing and observing other Little Ones in his class! It had to be! We didn't do any other exercises with him and he had seen bubbles before!!! I'm so glad that we got the pics- and story to prove this!!! Gymboree Play & Music, you are great and we will always remember you all as taking part in our bright star, Asher walking!!!

Gymbo Lover

Wednesday, August 12, 2015 by Gymboree Play & Music Family and Friends

My 14 month old daughter LOVES Gymbo! It's the cutest thing! She gets so excited when it's parachute time because she now knows that is when Gymbo comes out to play! All she wants to do is hug on him and walk around with him. It's so sweet. We love our Gymboree location and its teachers!

We Signed Up As Soon As The Session Ended!

Friday, July 24, 2015 by Gymboree Play & Music Family and Friends

Today was our first visit to Gymboree Play & Music in Chandler and we were so glad that we came. The staff and teachers in Chandler, AZ are amazing. From the second my son and I walked in until we were ready to leave, we felt very welcome. Activities during Gymboree Play & Music 4 are fun and appropriate for my son's milestone (20 months old). Material and facility were clean. I did not feel any pressure to become a paid member at all. With friendly explanation and accommodation from Gina, Angie, and Teacher Susie, we signed up for the class as soon as the session ended. My son and I are very thrilled. :)

My Son's Development was Accelerated

Friday, May 22, 2015 by Gymboree Play & Music Family and Friends

I love Liz, Becky, Michelle, and Linda! More importantly so does my son! My son has been going to this location since level 1 (6 weeks old) and now is in level 4. I honestly believe his development was accelerated because of Gymboree and he is still very advanced for his age :)

Teacher Cecily is Fantastic!

Friday, April 24, 2015 by Gymboree Play & Music Family and Friends

I think our teacher Cecily is fantastic. She amazes me every week with her genuine enthusiasm and energy with the children. I really appreciate her. Gymboree Play & Music has become such an essential part of our early childhood development plan for our daughter. We have been part of the Gymboree Play & Music family for almost a year, moving from Play & Learn's levels 2 to 3 to 4. At 15 months, Sophie is climbing on all the furniture at home, so I have to bring her every week to keep her skills in shape.

Thank you to the whole Scottsdale Gymboree Play & Music team for making it such a great experience for us!!!

Social Help That Is Well Worth It

Monday, March 17, 2014 by Gymboree Play & Music Family and Friends

I took my daughter because she needed some social help I was a little worried about her, and the activities they had for them are awesome sometimes my daughter would cooperate and sometimes she would just want to run around on her own and that was ok. Kids were not forced to do what everyone else was doing. The teacher was sweet playful and the kids absolutely LOVED her!!! And that made me happy! I would highly recommend this to anyone, to me it is a little pricy but when you think about the attention they get it’s worth it !!Class Type: Play & Learn 4 (16-22 months)

Miss Kia

Wednesday, December 18, 2013 by Gymboree Play & Music Family and Friends

Being new to the area, we were looking for a social outlet for our daughter (who was 6 months old at the time). We found Gymboree, and more importantly, Miss Kia, and our lives have truly been improved ever since. The play & learn classes have done wonders to help her reach her physical milestones and have grown with her physically and mentally. "Kia" was one of our daughter's first words, and when you say "Gymboree" -- she says "Kia"! Which has now also been followed by "Jim". She checks under every carpet and blanket in our house all week long looking for Baby Gymbo. Miss Kia has made us feel like better parents and we are forever grateful. We all look forward to seeing her every week. I don't know how she does it!

Fun times and good times.

Wednesday, December 18, 2013 by Gymboree Play & Music Family and Friends

My son Shubaan started Gymboree Play & Musplay classes, classes for toddlers, classes for kids, activities for toddlers, gym for kids, activities for babiesic when he was 13 months and just started walking. He was a very skeptical child who wouldn't venture out of his safe and secure world. Initially, he was withdrawn, crying at times, not participating much.It was frustrating, but his teacher put me at ease and said that this happens and he will take a while to adjust. She pointed out all his positives. Gradually he overcame his fears and started enjoying. His teacher Ms. Ruthie brings an amazing amount of energy to each class. So much so, that my son runs around, participates and loves every minute there. Thanks to Gymboree play classes, he has also overcome his fear of climbing! We are moving so only a few classes are left. But A teacher makes the difference and Ms. Ruthie - you are the best.

Thank you for being a great teacher!

Thursday, August 1, 2013 by Gymboree Play & Music Family and Friends

Rita is the best teacher! She always greets us with a warm smile and says goodbye. She is energetic and very knowledgeable about early child development and how I can support my child with reaching obtainable goals. She gave me great pointers on how to help my child learn to walk and my daughter started taking a few steps on her own that day! I always enjoy her class and my child loves her. Thank you Rita!!

Logan's first visit

Wednesday, April 24, 2013 by Gymboree Play & Music Family and Friends

I was at the 10:3Gymboree Play & Music0, Play & Learn 4 class. We have never been to a Gymboree before. My son is 21 months old and loved it! I felt like he was a star because the teacher knew his name and would call attention to the positive actions he was taking to participate in the class. He was interested and involved the entire time and seemed to enjoy the attention from the teacher as well as interacting with the other children.

Breaking Out

Wednesday, April 24, 2013 by Gymbo Buzz Blog Contest

My daughter, Hadley, has always beeGymboree Play & Musicn fairly timid. Whenever I took her out of her comfort zone and to a play group or other fun activity, she would spend the majority of the time clutching onto me. That all changed on our first visit to Gymboree! I was afraid that she would not leave my side the entire time, but as soon as we stepped into the room, she took off and started to play! I was amazed! She loved climbing up the ramps and sliding down the slides. And she was AMAZED by the parachute and bubbles! We signed up for Play & Learn classes that day and have been going every week since. I've noticed a difference in her other activities as well and she is much more outgoing. I think that Gymboree has played a big part in that. Thank you!

Sharing Gymbo

Wednesday, April 24, 2013 by Gymbo Buzz Blog Contest

We started going to Gymboree to enjoy some quaGymboree Play & Musiclity time with our 17 month old daughter since we both work and she goes to daycare during the week. She loves the chance to run around and try new things. Grandma lives about 6 hours away and loves to see and hear about what we are doing at Gymboree. After about 6 weeks of attending, we saw Grandma one weekend. She asked what we had done in Gymboree that morning and my daughter lifted her dress and showed off her Gymbo stamp on her belly and pointed to both of her feet where she also had Gymbo stamps. She then danced around and jumped up and down to show off what she had done at Gymboree. Thank you for giving our daughter the confidence to try new things in a safe and fun environment!
