A Teacher's Inspiration

I am a teacher at Gymboree Play and Music in the NYC area. My students are always inspiring me in one way or another, but one student in particular has a special place in my heart. When I started working here about a year ago, Nina was in my Play & Learn 6 class. She was afraid to climb, jump, run and do anything without Dad's help. She would always ask "Papa, help me!" to do any task. Nina goes to physical therapy because she has low muscle tone. After a few months, Nina began to jump on her own. Her father decided to try out sports class to see how she would do, plus she was always trying to play all the sports her older brother played. Nina is now one of my star pupils. She can do everything that all the other children can do and then some. She never gives up (but asks to take a break if she needs it). She always come to class with a smile on her face and with lots of enthusiasm about every sport we try. She always shares wonderful news and cheers on her teammates. Nina inspires me to be a more physically fit and nice person. Thank you for being such a great student and kid Nina!
