I saw three of the kids together by the monkey bars and one was sitting next to the bars on the floor while the other two took turns trying to go across. I taught them to bring something over to stand on 1/2 way through to make it easier while they learn and so they did that all on their own. Then, the little boy sitting on the floor starts coaching the two girls about going across. He tells them "you just have to go to the other side" "you can do it" "keep going" "you're doing great". When they make it to the other side, he cheered for them and said "see, you did it"! He is only three years old!
It was such a wonderful moment. As a teacher it is so wonderful to just get to sit back and watch and not have to lead them- they did it all on their own!
