Spring has Sprung in Gymboree Art!

Tuesday, May 24, 2011 by Teacher Talk

I don't know who is more excited for our new art unit, me or the kids! Today we began our Spring unit in Gymboree Art and worked as a class to paint a giant, 3-dimensional bee hive. The kids were excited to be up on their feet, painting on this unique surface with their friends. I love this project not only because of the creativity it produces, but also because the kids get to work on sharing creative space with friends and working as a team to complete a large project! It was pretty obvious that the kids were loving this project when my entire class was buzzing like bees as they painted! The best part came at the end when my little friend said, "Thanks for the bees, Miss Megan!"

I love teaching Art classes at Gymboree Play and Music!

Class Type: Art
City: Carmel
State: Indiana
