Meet GymboFams Ambassador Jeff

Hello! My name is Jeff Cronin and my wife is named, Krystle. We’ve been taking our son to Gymboree Play & Music for about 2 months now. He LOVES it! It’s been so great to see him progress in class from a 2 month old, to now a 4 month old. His favorite activities are the parachute, tummy time (we’ve never seen him love tummy time more than in class) and the Gymbo puppet song.

We first joined for a chance for my wife to get out of the house and we didn’t know anything about GymboreePlay & Music, but once we took the first class, we were hooked! We love having him around other babies his age and learning new songs with him. It’s also great to see how the other kids have progressed in class so we know what to expect. We can’t wait to get started as a GymboFam and meet other families.

Meet GymboFams Ambassador Mia

A little bit about us
My name is Mia and I am mommy to my 4 month old daughter Noemi Max.
IMG_0103.jpg
We started attending Gymboree Play & Music just a couple months ago. After attending a breastfeeding support group I quickly realized that Noemi loved interacting with other babies. I began to search for mommy and me classes but unfortunately wasn’t having any luck finding something within her age group. That’s when we found Gymboree Play & Music.

Noemi loves going to class from tummy time to bubbles and songs with Gymbo she always has a  blast. As a mom I love the fact that we have found a place where she can have fun and enhance her development.

Meet GymboFams Ambassador Allison

Hi all. My name is Allison.

When my husband and I moved to Oregon, we knew we needed to find indoor activities to get through the rainy season (October to May). We started attending Gymboree Play & Music when our son, Christopher, now 4 years old, was 16 months old. He was an early walker, and non-stop mover. Gymboree Play & Music was the ideal environment to get his wiggles out (I only wish we had taken advantage of the unlimited open gym times).

Our daughter, Annie, now 2 years old, attended her big brother’s Gymboree Play & Music classes in the Ergo at 2 weeks. The teachers made it so easy to bring Annie, and Christopher’s schedule was unchanged – a big deal for a 2-year-old with a new sister. Annie started attending her own classes when she was 16 months old. She was a later walker than her brother, walking only a week prior to her first level 4 Gymboree Play & Music class.

This summer, we enrolled Christopher in Bubble Camp/Preschool Skills. With his enrollment, he also gets to attend Music, Art, and Family Gym. I cannot believe it took us two and a half years to discover these classes. Even though Christopher and Annie are at vastly different developmental stages, they are welcomed into these classes together and instructed at their individual levels.

Gymboree Play & Music is my kids’ happy place, I can honestly say they love their teachers. For me it is so much more – more than I can express in words. As a SAHM, there are days I need to get out and talk with adults. I am a member of a local mom’s group, but their activities do not always work with our schedules.

What I can be sure of atGymboree Play & Music, is weekly conversations with parents who have kids in similar stages as mine. We share stories, and offer solutions to kid challenges. There have been so many days I’ve walked into Gymboree Play & Music defeated, and after a 50 minutes class, come out with a new set of tools to handle a toddler situation.

Gymboree Play & Music is the best thing we have done as a family, my husband attends when his schedule allows. I am so excited to representGymboree Play & Music as a GymboFams Ambassador. I look forward to sharing our summer Gymbo experience.

Meet GymboFams Ambassador Christian

Hello Gymbo FAMS!!! My name is Christian Seda and I am a mom of two boys, I am a second grade teacher, and a world traveler living in Las Vegas! After having my first son and finally settling into the role of being a mom, I was on a mission to find the perfect play space where my son could learn, explore, and socialize with other children his age. After visiting several different kids gyms I fell in love with Gymboree Play & Music.

image1.jpeg

Gymboree Play & Music offers an amazing environment that helps engage infants to toddlers while strengthening motor skills and expanding the imagination of little minds. From the bright colors, cleanliness, adventurous equipment, in depth lesson plans, and staff that immediately made us feel like family…we found our home! Gymboree is not only a place for littles one to explore the world around them, but it is also a great place for adults to put a pause to adulting and simply be a kid again!

We have been members since my son was 10 months old and he is now 3! We love Gymboree Play & Music so much we even visited the Gymboree Play & Music in Ireland!! Meet Hudson! He is a proud big brother, has an incredible imagination, and loves spending time with his best friend Amelia at Gymboree Play & Music! He loves creating in art class, dancing to Gymbo tunes, and becoming a scientist during STEM classes!

Meet GymboFams Ambassador Aliza

My name is Aliza, my husband is Asher and we are first time parents to Cody. We got married in December 2009 at the ripe age of 19. We decided to complete school and start our careers prior to starting a family. In August of 2017, we were blessed with our red-headed, blue-eyed love, Cody.

As a labor and delivery nurse, I thought I knew almost everything it takes to care for a baby. Boy, was I wrong. Cody turned our life upside down. Married for 8 years, we had established our routine and who knew a hardly six pound little human could change it so much.

As a busybody, I needed something for Cody and I to do together to spend time so we don’t get sick of each other’s (cute) faces. That is where Gymboree Play & Music stepped in. From an early age, Cody had shown an interest in music (and has quite a rhythm). Therefore, the music class was a perfect match to enhance Cody’s love of music through singing, dancing, and movement.

Not only did it enhance both of our love for music, but it also promoted social skills as well. It was at the first class we attended that I realized that Cody is simply a human being (albeit small) who starves for social interaction. It allowed me to view Cody in a whole new light.

In addition, I was lucky enough to meet new mothers in the same boat as me. I am not shy to admit that Gymboree Play & Music has been a lifesaver as a new mother!

Meet GymboFams Ambassador Carmen

Hello! My name is Carmen Herrera and my husband is Ramiro. Adriana is our first child and like many first time parents we were nervous, scared but mostly excited.

I am a 5th grade teacher which means I am very blessed to have the summers off. Once the summer came I knew our baby needed activity, socialization and this momma needed time out of the house.

After our first class we were hooked. Adriana is 9 months old which means she’s crawling, standing up on any object she can and is having the time of her life. Gymboree Play & Music classes are fulfilling her needs cognitively and socially.

In the short amount of time we have been in the program she has already learned so much. I find myself singing songs to her at home just so she can smile and clap her hands.

We look forward to continuing our adventure with our Gymboree Play & Music family and seeing our sweet baby grow and learn.

Meet GymboFams Ambassador Leticia

My name is Leticia and I have a son name Jayden who is 15 months old. My husband and I realized very early on that Jayden was a fast learner and has a lot of energy. So we began researching programs that could help us encourage Jayden to develop skills more rapidly and put his energy to good use while playing and learning. We came across Gymboree Play & Music and we signed up for a free class. After seeing Jayden’s response to that one class, we knew we had to enroll him and we did.

image1.jpeg

Although I am a stay at home mom, there is only so much we can do at home or at the park. Gymboree Play & Music is a great place to promote child development and encourage learning through play.

image2.jpeg

Of course it’s a plus that we both get to make friends while there and we attend at least twice a week if not more. I am excited to help promote such programs and encourage parents to really invest in their children’s development because that is priceless.

Meet GymboFams Ambassador Bri

My name is Bri Smocks and my husband’s name is Arthur. We had our first child Levi, in November 2017 and as a young, married African-American couple, there is so much we have not experienced when it comes to parenting. We love our parents and are grateful for our upbringing, but there are activities and developmental studies to which they were not aware when we were children.

Smocks Family.jpg

As millennial parents, we knew we wanted to challenge our son and provide opportunities for him that are not normally heard of in our community. That’s why Gymboree Play & Music is about more for us than having a space to play. It’s about giving Levi a chance to build his cognitive and motor skills at an early stage, factors which will serve him well as he grows older. My son showed signs that he was advanced and active before Gymboree Play & Music, but it was there that he crawled for an extended period of time and where his curiosity was stimulated. It also provides him with a chance to explore and improve his social skills which will prepare him for his first day of preschool next month.

Furthermore, as a first-generation college student, two-time graduate of Southern Methodist University, and currently a 10th grade English teacher, I know all too well the importance of early exposure on a child’s future. It is paramount that they have spaces like Gymboree Play & Music to fuel their interests and promote family time. For instance, his Gia, my mother, even attends classes with him and is the stand-in Grandmother for all of his friends! These are only a few of the benefits.

I am thankful to my college friend Craishia, a young, married mother like myself, for telling me about Gymboree Play & Music and now I am eager to do the same. There’s nothing better than sharing places like this with other moms so we can all give our children the best!

Meet GymboFams Ambassador Crystal

I’m so excited to join this awesome club of GymboFams! My name is Crystal King and I am the Mother of Avery King. I work FT as a Creative Director and my son Avery spends most of his days with his Grandparents and little cousins.

Screen Shot 2018-06-29 at 3.41.30 PM.png

For months, I searched to find something for Avery that would help further develop his motor skills, foster an environment for social play and develop his sense of bravery, confidence, and curiosity.

Screen Shot 2018-06-29 at 3.40.01 PM.png

That’s when I stumbled upon Gymboree Play & Music. We are newbies to the program but on the very first day I knew that I had to immediately sign Avery up because I saw how much he thrived after just one class! We are now a few classes in and Avery loves sliding down the slides, swinging on the tubes, crawling through the rainbow tunnels, kissy time with Gymbo, popping bubbles, and parachute time! I’m so excited to have found Gymboree Play & Music and can’t wait to meet more parents and sweet little babes.

I recently started sharing stories of the adventures of Avery and I on our website: justthekings.com. I had such a crazy pregnancy and delivery that I just felt compelled to share my testimony with others. At 7 months pf pregnancy, I was forced to deliver Avery due to lack of weight gain (I only gained 7lbs my entire pregnancy y’all) and preclampaia.

Screen Shot 2018-06-29 at 3.40.50 PM.png

Immediately after delivering Avery, I went into kidney failure and got put on the list for a kidney transplant. I’m really just starting to regain my strength and I’m finally able to be more independent and venture out with Avery. I wish I could’ve started the website sooner but I’m slowly telling my story now. So if you guys could drop by, take a look, share any feedback or ask questions I would greatly appreciate it!
